John Wilson President Gryffe High School PTAHello Everyone. I’m John Wilson and I’m the new president of the Gryffe High School Parent Teacher Association.

I’ll briefly tell you about the important part that the PTA plays in the life of the school, what we do as a group, and how you can contribute towards the extra benefits that the PTA can provide for the school and your children.

Like everything else, the school runs to a budget and like every budget, it’s limited. That’s where the PTA comes in. By raising extra funds for the school, we can provide the additional items that add to the pupils’ enjoyment of the school.

Grand Easter Raffle
To be drawn on 28th March 2007.

As a fund-raiser this year we are having an exciting raffle with excellent prizes. This has been organised by the PTA committee through local business contacts.
Please remember the support these businesses are giving us and support them in return.
All the funds raised by this raffle go towards boosting the school’s resources, which can include everything from extra text books, televisions, teaching aids, musical instruments, team strips, right through to assisting with extra curricular transport this year. The list is endless and we ask every department for a wish list of items they need to help aid our children’s school experience.

There are only seven members on the committee this year and if you feel that you could help in any way we would appreciate your input. We normally meet four times a year so please help if possible. The next meeting is on 14th March 2007 at Gryffe High School, Spateston Campus.
